Rideau Ferry Christmas Bird Count looking for volunteers

The Rideau Ferry Christmas Bird Count will be conducted on December 17th. It covers Smiths Falls, Perth and areas to the south. The organizers are concerned that they may not have enough birders to cover the count area and have asked the KFN to advertise for volunteers. Contact Alison Bentley at alisonbentley@gmail.com.

Hunting Season – Owl Woods

The Owl Woods will be closed from 21 November through to 11 December. Thank you everyone for your patience and respect to the owners of the property who have allowed us for many years to enjoy this treasure.

Martin Edwards Reserve

The repair work on the berm at Martin Edwards Reserve is now complete.  It is safe to walk along the path and out to the point.
