Hunting Season – Owl Woods
The Owl Woods will be closed from 21 November through to 11 December. Thank you everyone for your patience and respect to the owners of the property who have allowed us for many years to enjoy this treasure.
Martin Edwards Reserve
The repair work on the berm at Martin Edwards Reserve is now complete. It is safe to walk along the path and out to the point.
Howe Island Ferry Restrictions
The County Ferry (the large ferry to Howe Island) will be in dry dock from September 19 to 30 and the replacement will only be running from 7 am to 3 pm (rather than 24 hours).

Martin Edwards Reserve – Trail Closure
The trail along the berm on the Martin Edwards Reserve is “temporarily closed until further repairs”. Access to the point is still possible along the gravel beach. Please do not walk on the berm.
Mid Summer Tiger Swallowtail Research
There is a tiger swallowtail in Eastern Ontario that flies in July, well after the peak flight of the Canadian Tiger Swallowtail (Papilio canadensis).
