Joining the Kingston Field Naturalists includes a number of benefits:
Access to KFN and other Nature Reserves: Access our nature reserves near Frontenac Provincial Park and on Amherst Island. Access to the Amhertview Sewage Lagoons is also available to KFN members.
Newsletter and Journal: Members receive a monthly newsletter and a quarterly journal (The Blue Bill) via their email address.
Support Nature: By supporting the club, you support many efforts to study, document and preserve nature.
Monthly Meetings: Meetings with guest speakers on topics relevant to field naturalists are held between September and April.
Outings: The KFN organizes field trips and rambles led by experts in their field throughout the year.
Membership
To join the Kingston Field Naturalists using PayPal or a credit card, please select a membership type then click/tap “Pay Now.” You will be brought to the PayPal website to complete your transaction. Memberships expire March 31 but new members joining after Jan 1 will have their membership extended until the following year.
PayPal will provide the membership secretary with your name and email. You will be contacted for additional information such as the names of other family members, if applicable.
Family membership does not include the Junior or Teen Naturalists programs.
To join the Junior or Teen Naturalists, you must have parental consent which requires a mail-in paper form. Further information is available on the Kingston Youth Naturalists page.
If you would like to make a donation in addition to paying for your membership, please choose one of the options in the list or visit our donations page to choose a different amount.
If you would rather join with a paper form, please print the following and send it to the address contained within.
KFN Embroidered Crest
Members can buy Kingston Field Naturalists embroidered crests while quantities last. To order, click on the Buy Now button and input the number of crests you would like on the following page. Crests are sold for $3 each via the website to cover the costs of shipping and handling. If you buy them in person on a field trip or ramble, they will only cost you $2.
