February Meeting

On Thursday 17 February our speaker will be Chris Burn from Carleton University.  Dr Burn is committed to long-term field investigations of frozen ground. His research is focused on the relations between climate and permafrost.

Field Trip to Algonquin Park

This is a placeholder for a potential field trip to Algonquin Provincial Park to look for winter finches and other exotic bird species. In previous trips we have stayed overnight at motels in Whitney, but this may or may not be possible depending on the pandemic situation. Stay tuned for further announcements in January.
