Public Bird Walks- Every Wednesday in May!

May 1 @ 6:30 AM - 6:30 PM

Beware of Ticks! Wear long sleeves. Tuck your long pants into your socks.

Our members and the public are invited to this annual event hosted by the Kingston Field Naturalists. Everyone is welcome.

This is a great opportunity to see and hear many of the spring birds returning to the Kingston area, including many species of spring warblers. The Lemoine Point Conservation Area, which hosts forest, grassland, wetland and open water habitats, is an ideal place to find birds. Each walk is led by avid bird enthusiasts willing to help you learn to identify birds by sight and sound. These walks provide an excellent way to kick off your summer of bird watching. You are not expected to know anything about birds. Just bring your binoculars if you have them. Walks are scheduled every Wednesday morning at 6:30 AM and every Wednesday evening at 6:30 PM throughout May, rain or shine. The meeting point for all walks is the south parking lot of the conservation area. Take Front Road west (past the airport) to the end.
