Bird Walk – Frontenac Forests Key Biodiversity Area
June 7 @ 6:00 AM – 12:00 PM EDT
The KFN has been asked to survey six Key Biodiversity Areas (KBAs) managed by Birds Canada and Nature Canada in our area. The intent is to review and update information on the key species which were identified when the KBAs were created.
Kurt Hennige will lead Wednesday morning trips once a month from April to November to five of the six KBAs. The target for this trip is the Frontenac Forests. We will search for many forest birds at risk such as Cerulean Warbler, Golden-winged Warbler and Yellow-throated Vireo
Participants will be limited to 10 people, and are required to contact Kurt at least 3 days before the trip to receive info on the meeting point.
